Pick Your Hostel is operated by Pick Your Hostel Pvt Ltd, Kathmandu, Nepal. These Terms & Conditions cover our website and the related listing, comparison, saved-hostel and visit-request services.

PYH helps students find hostels and request visits. We do not operate the listed hostels. A visit request, accepted visit or application status does not reserve a bed, confirm admission or create a tenancy. Any stay, deposit, refund or payment agreement must be confirmed directly with the hostel. These terms do not replace a separate written agreement you have with us.

Use accurate information, protect your account and tell us if you suspect someone else has accessed it. Do not impersonate another person or use an account you are not allowed to use. If you cannot legally enter an agreement on your own, involve a parent or legal guardian before submitting an application or agreeing to a stay.

Only submit photos, contact details and other information you are entitled to provide. Obtain permission before submitting another person's details, including a parent, guardian or spouse. Our Privacy Policy explains how application information is used and shared.

Photos are taken by PYH agents and edited only at the hostel owner's request. Photos show a listing at a particular time and may not reflect its current condition. An owner's request does not permit edits or claims that would mislead users.

Hostel owners set and change their prices and booking terms. PYH does not set or change hostel prices. Availability, meals, facilities, house rules and other details can change. Visit the hostel and confirm its condition, current rent, inclusions, deposits, refund terms and all extra charges directly before booking or paying.

Tell us if a listing is inaccurate or a photo may be misleading. We may review, correct, restrict or remove content while the issue is investigated. Do not treat a listing, photograph, map pin or visit status as a guarantee of safety, suitability, admission or availability.

Rights in the website, branding, photographs, text and other content belong to PYH or the relevant rights holders. Public visibility does not give you ownership or permission to reuse that material. Taking a photograph or requesting an edit does not, by itself, determine copyright ownership; any separate licence or written agreement still applies.

You may browse listings, compare hostels, use our normal sharing tools and keep a limited personal shortlist for your own accommodation search. Unless we and any other relevant rights holder give prior written permission, you must not:

• Copy, download in bulk, republish, sell, rent, license or distribute our photos, listing descriptions or datasets.
• Use our photos or content in advertisements, social-media promotions, monetized posts or videos, lead-generation services, competing listings or other income-generating activity.
• Remove watermarks, crop out attribution, alter branding, or imply that PYH or a hostel endorses your business.
• Use content obtained from PYH to build or sell a dataset, train a commercial model, or create a commercial content library without permission.

This section does not remove uses or exceptions that applicable law expressly permits. Normal personal link sharing is allowed; copying the underlying content for a business is not the same thing. Contact us for a licence or to report suspected misuse.

Without prior written authorization, do not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, automated browser tools or similar systems to extract listings, images, prices, contact information or user data. Do not bypass request limits, access controls or blocks, or repeatedly retrieve content through different accounts or addresses to evade a restriction.

Ordinary search-engine indexing of public pages is allowed only within the scope of our published robots instructions and technical access rules. That permission does not grant a licence to resell content, collect personal information or access private pages. An accessible URL or API response is not permission for commercial extraction. Any approved integration must stay within its agreed purpose and limits.

Use PYH lawfully and without harming other users or the service. Do not:

• Access another person's account, private application, photo, session, credentials or data without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, permissions, onboarding checks or other security controls; tamper with requests, records or visit decisions.
• Introduce malicious code, steal credentials, send spam or deceptive messages, overload the service or interfere with its operation.
• Use listing or student information to harass, stalk, discriminate against, deceive or send unsolicited marketing to anyone.
• Run intrusive security scans, exploit a weakness or test a live system without our prior written authorization.

If you notice a possible vulnerability, stop before accessing or changing anyone else's information and report it privately to [email protected]. Share only the minimum information needed to explain the issue. Reporting does not authorize further testing or promise a reward or legal safe harbour.

Report incorrect listings, rights violations, misuse or security concerns to [email protected] with the relevant page URL and a clear explanation. For a photo or copyright complaint, explain which work is yours, your authority to act, and how we can contact you. Do not include passwords or unnecessary personal data.

Where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or address a suspected breach, we may limit requests, suspend access, remove content, preserve relevant records or refer a matter to the appropriate authority. We may seek remedies available under law. These terms do not create an automatic fine or a predetermined criminal penalty. Contact us if you believe a restriction or removal was mistaken.

We work to keep the service useful, but access may be interrupted and listings may be incomplete or become outdated. Third-party websites, login providers and map services operate under their own terms. Hostel operations, accommodation contracts and owner-controlled prices remain the hostel's responsibility.

PYH remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not excuse misleading advertising, unlawful handling of personal information or other unlawful conduct.

We may update these terms as the service or law changes and will show the revised date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel. A new version does not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Disputes may be brought before a court or authority with lawful jurisdiction. You may contact us first to seek a practical resolution, but doing so is not a condition for exercising a legal right or making a lawful complaint.
